Ever wanted to stay in a cabin located in a wildlife sanctuary? You may be able to fulfil this dream of yours in Goa soon!
To boost ecological tourism, deluxe cabins will be built in the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary so visitors can get comfortable and enjoy nature. This place has a wide variety of birds, animals, and plants. It is also the home of the famous Dudhsagar waterfalls. Forest minister Vishwajit Rane revealed that at the end of this year they are hoping to build high-end cabins so that people can relish the benefits of camping in the forest/sanctuary in comfort.
To make this happen, a meeting with principal conservators of forests, chief wildlife warden Santosh Kumar, and a company that specialises in building cabins and tents in forests. They also had a detailed discussion regarding Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and developing Surla to facilitate camping activities.
Locals, especially the youth, will be trained to become guides.
