In Goa, I do (for a living)…

I run a business of providing cast-in-situ terrazzo and IPS flooring, wall finishes and slabs. My business also manufactures small concrete home décor products. I am also a professional photographer and I photograph weddings.

When I’m with my oldest buddies…

We like to relax and reminisce about old times and catch up over the latest in each other’s lives over a few drinks in a nice restaurant. Sometimes, when the weather is suitable, we barbeque in our backyard.

Life in Goa in one word…

Wholesome

Events that I would never miss in Goa…

Serendipity Arts Festival

Carnaval

My best memory growing up…

Playing roof-top hand cricket with the friends in my colony

Things I love most about Goa …

The incessant monsoon rains, the calmness of the beaches, the lazy pace of life, the better quality of life, the vibrant old villas, the roads lined with coconut trees, the connect with a simpler life than in cities.

My favourite season in Goa…

Monsoon

My go-to place in Goa…

Agonda

My Goan comfort food is…

Cutlet Pao

Feni (if that counts)

A not-so-tourist spot that I love…

Divar Island

That one thing I miss about Goa from my childhood…

Not just Goa, but in general, I miss the simplicity there was in life in my childhood. Small things used to give us a lot of happiness. That is missing these days. Life in Goa is relatively better off in this aspect than other places I have been too.
The Kolkata Biriyani is one materialistic thing I miss in Goa, compared to my childhood.
