Special bus for Goa-Shirdi cancelled

The special Kadamba bus which operates during the Dussehra-Diwali festival period has been cancelled.

This is because there has been a lack of demand which led to the Kadamba Transport Corporation Limited (KTCL) deciding to not restart the Goa-Shirdi special bus service.

Usually, these buses would carry devotees to visit the pilgrimage site. This service was supposed to start from today onwards. It would pick up people from Mapusa and travel for 15 hours to the site. However, till now KTCL hasn’t received any bookings.

They are willing to reschedule the bus if enough passengers want to go for the trip.

Other than the Goa-Shirdi route, KTCL has stopped buses on 11 routes because of a lack of passengers.
