In the last 2 weeks, Goa has already been experiencing rainy conditions. Even wading in the water isn’t recommended. Lifeguards have been placed at beaches and are trained to rescue even in bad weather.
Apart from going into the water, visitors have been advised to stay away from hills and cliffs near the shore. Many times there have been accidents as tourists go on rocky terrains to click selfies. It’s dangerous as in the monsoons the rocky surfaces are slippery which could cause a person to slip or be swept away by a high wave.
All beach activities will be on hold for the four months of the rainy season. Beach visits are allowed, except for swimming.
