The German Bakery

The iconic German Bakery in Anjuna is set in a beautiful garden and offers you a blissed out day in the company of good food and good vibes If you haven’t been to German Bakery in Anjuna yet you are definitely missing much. The organic health food restaurant was started by German born Woody who baked his first loaf 40 years ago when he laid the seed for the famous bakery. He began to cultivate his dream of working with health food by taking the best ideas from Indian and European cuisine and creating out of them healthy and tasty food, making German Bakery the fi rst health food restaurant in India. Pankaj Kohli has been carrying forward this legacy by consistently dishing out delicious baked goods, organic health food and a pleasant atmosphere for the past 20 years. The restaurant cum bakery is tucked away in Anjuna and is frequented by travelers and yoga buffs. The ambiance is relaxed making this a place you could easily spend an entire day at sipping on energy shots and elixirs while you listen to some ambient chill out music and read a book or play some board games, which are freely available at the restaurant. Indulge in their extensive menu which serves up some delicious fare including vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The spices and grains are organically grown and sourced from tribal Kulu Manali and the dishes are freshly cooked with no additives, preservatives or colour.
