Tourist spots in Candolim get solar-powered streetlights

Candolim, a popular tourist destination of Goa, now has solar-powered streetlights! There are 15 of them located at tourist spots and major junctions.

This decision was taken by panchayat members as during the monsoons the weather conditions combined with power cuts can be dangerous to commuters. This is why solar streetlights were set-up. They will work even on cloudy days and have a back-up battery.

This initiative is reliable, cost-effective, and good for the environment.
