A universal footpath for Panaji? Flooding has been a major pain point for those in Panaji during the monsoons. The city’s mayor, Rohit Monserrate, revealed that many sewage projects and the universal footpath will be completed in 7 months.
The deadline is June 2023. Smart City will be in charge of these projects. It will solve the flooding problem in Panaji, according to Monserrate. There are old Portuguese drains available. The plan is to break the roads and fix these drains to ensure smooth water flow. These works will be done on Panaji’s main roads.
The roads will be broken open so that water doesn’t accumulate on 18th June road.
