Viral ‘Amche Mollem’ Campaign creates a manifesto

Remember the viral ‘Amche Mollem’ Campaign?  To combat climate change and to ensure the safety of present and future generations, this campaign with experts and youth groups, have made a ‘Goa’s Green Manifesto’ for the coming state elections.

www.goagreenmanifesto.in highlights concerns about the deadly results of destroying Goa’s environment. They made this draft with the expectation that political leaders will use it to go make and go through with plans that would help deal with climate change. Experts and citizens should also be consulted.

The manifesto demands that all mining and extracting industries should be brought to an end. Also, priority should be given to creating employment in the renewable energy sector. They also want schools, colleges and universities to have lessons on the environment and climate change. There is also a demand for high-quality healthcare and education for the public.
