Last year UK passengers didn’t come to Goa because of Covid-19 (Omicron) along with the decision to not issue e-visas to them led to no UK charters. This year, the new visa rules have also affected the number of UK travellers coming to the State.
Tui airlines wanted to have four flights a week from November but it may be one flight a week instead. The higher travel cost and the hassles and complications to get a visa led to many people cancelling. Because of this, Tui can’t have four flights a week. They will combine the two flights from Gatwick and two from Manchester into one. On Friday, one flight will leave from Gatwick and one from Manchester on Saturday.
For the month of December, they are selling tickets for four flights a week but this is subject to change. In the UK, a traveller has to visit the visa centre in person. Even if they do, they, may not even get an appointment. This uncertainty made many Britons back out. In the same way, Kazakhstan tourists may get affected due to visa issues.
