Some say it’s the water, some could swear it is the air! Everyone has different reasons for loving Goa and we know you do too. What is your favourite thing about Goa and why?

Goa is like a well cooked gourmet meal….. It’s got the age old well marinated traditional values and heritage, with an added flavour of beautiful exotic beaches, a tangy twist of hip grooving nightlife with a pinch of exotic cuisine that will leave you spellbound. It’s truly a paradise with its own signature to it.

Goa is not just a destination or a place, but a state of mind. I love everything, the breeze, the ‘sussegad’ or laidback lifestyle which is one of my most favorite discoveries. And a healthy dose of free time – what with a 10-minute commute to work, a lovely work-life balance and living within driving distance of a beautiful beach – it’s easy to learn to slow down and appreciate the smaller things in life.

For me it’s the culture and homemade Goan food. I missed this the most while I flew all over the world indulging in various cuisines working as a purser .My experience in the hotel industry coupled with my mother’s homemade Goan recipes, drew me back home. Thus “Hog Worth” restaurant in Miramar was conceived to bring to the world what i missed for a decade.

There is no doubt that people come to Goa for its beautiful pristine beaches and fresh air. I’m fond of Goa for its tranquillity, natural surroundings, beautiful villages with Old Portuguese structures and peaceful laid-back lifestyle. The most important is Goa is one of the safest and clean cities of the country.

While Goa is a holiday destination for many, it is #mygoamyhome. I love Goa because of the country-style village-life, for the popular fried prawns, for giving the world a remedy for common cold & to raise spirits high – feni. I love my Goa because of the highly-spoken-about coconut trees, for my dearest Konkani language that tourists want to learn. Much of the real Goa is not only the sea and nightlife; rather it’s in its interiors, both inside its houses and in the hinterland away from the coastal area. Born and brought up in beautiful Chinchinim village, I believe most of these Goan villages have a soul which goes deep into unique history, rich culture and some of the prettiest natural scenery that India has to offer. My Goa is a lifestyle brand by itself.
