What happens to the wild animals of Goa during summertime? Those in the forests of Goa will most probably go out of their natural habitats to search for drinking water.
To help them out, the forest department will be carrying out their annual task of filling the manmade waterholes in the forest with water. Small water tankers have been sent to protected areas like the Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary, Mollem National Park, Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, and Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary.
Each tanker has 1,000 litres of water to fill the waterholes. Water is given for many species and it also becomes a breeding ground for a lot of amphibians.
